Evonne Wheatley

LeadTime Director Assistant

Evonne first came to Doulos in 2002 to attend the discipleship program and work with the Shelterwood teens.  While there she developed a deeper relationship with Christ and began to see a calling upon her life to work with young women.  It was her time working with the teenage girls that she began to feel a passion for offering the hope of Christ to women.  A year later the Lord opened the door for Evonne to work at College of the Ozarks as a Hall Director of one of the Freshmen Womens dorms.  During that time she had the opportunity to pour into the lives of her Resident Assistants and dorm staff with the goal of them pouring into the lives of the other residents in the dorm.  Once again the Lord began to give her a deeper vision and passion for both teaching discipleship and practicing life on life discipleship.  From there the Lord opened the door for Evonne to earn her Masters degree in Christian Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  This degree provided her to learn more about how to teach, disciple, train leaders.  Through all of these events in Evonne’s life, it seemed that the Lord was paving the way for her to serve at Doulos as the Assistant LeadTime director.  Evonne has been in awe of the Lord’s calling upon her life to be involved in the ministry of discipleship.  She sees it as a huge priviliedge to work for Doulos because she knows that through this ministry, God has and continues to grow people closer to Him and to experience His grace, mercy, healing, hope, and purpose for their lives.  It is a gift from the Lord to be able to serve in such a place.
