Shelterwood

Dena has taught at Shelterwood since 2003 and has been a huge support in the area of extra-curricular activities.  She is always quick to volunteer and has spent many weekends camping with the students, leading projects of volunteer service, and has welcomed many students to her home for dinner and other activities.  Born and raised in Michigan, she receive her teaching certificate from Michigan State University and earned her B.A. in History, with a minor in Theater.  While Dena has strong administrative and teaching skills, her greatest attribute extends beyond lessons learned in the classroom.  She encourages young people in their faith, and has a heart to see them reach their full God-given potential.
