Shelterwood

Joey has been with Shelterwood almost as long as founder Richard Beach. For 24 years, he has served in a variety of roles, including staff counselor and director. Joey is an ordained minister, as well as Licensed Professional Counselor and Professional Family Counselor. Born in Weisbaden, Germany, and raised in Ft. Worth, Texas, Joey says his greatest joy in life is his family. Jeanie and Joey have been married for 26 years and have two children: Elizabeth and Eric. His current role as executive director positions him to be an encourager to the Leadership team, keeping the ministry striving and God’s work progressing. He shares, “I love what I do! God has called me to this place for this time. It pushes all my buttons of discipleship and family healing. Shelterwood is a small piece in God’s big puzzle of putting the family together again. It’s difficult work, but it’s making a huge difference.”
