- 89% of the families were satisfied with the quality of care they received while their child was enrolled in Shelterwood.

Multi-Faceted Program
A multi-faceted teen counseling and teen mentoring strategy, like Shelterwood, creates a dynamic atmosphere that wraps teens in love when they are at their worst. We surround students in a 24 hour-a-day, 7-day-a-week plan with solid Christian people who want to have a positive impact on their lives. A staff counselor with a minimum of a Master's Degree in Counseling or Social Work is assigned to each teen. In addition to our counseling, school and facility staff, there are 20 full-time mentors serving on-site throughout the year. These "big brothers/big sisters" are a part of Doulos Ministries' "LeadTime" program--a year-long discipleship training program for college graduate-age men and women. "Bigs" are screened.

Our method is deep-rooted in real relationships with the teens. Together, our staff helps the Shelterwood teens work towards their goals and turn their lives around.
