Steve and Rujon Morrison

Dear Shelterwood Family:

God has smiled upon us! God has added a dynamic couple to the Shelterwood Team. I am excited to announce that Rujon Morrison has accepted the call to become our next Shelterwood Director.

I have known Rujon and her husband, Steve, for over a decade. Not only has their ministry had a profound impact on my wife, Janice and me, but we have seen the significant life change that their ministry has initiated in so many others as well. You can read more about their impressive backgrounds and credentials on the attached document.

Steve and Rujon have given leadership to a ministry, Healing for the Nations, for nearly two decades. And this ministry has impacted thousands of individuals in over a dozen nations. Steve will continue to give leadership to this ministry, while Rujon will help lead Shelterwood forward. Rujon brings to Shelterwood the unique mix of real world clinical training and experience, and dynamic ministry experience. And while Steve will not officially be on our staff, he will have an office on our campus, and we will benefit from his presence as well.

Steve and Rujon are excited about this next chapter in their lives and ministry. They have already begun their work on our campus, and I am convinced that they will be much more than an addition to our team, and that their involvement will ultimately have a multiplied impact on our ministry. Their passion for Jesus, their giftedness as a couple, their clinical experience, and their commitment to training and equipping is a dynamic combination which I am excited to join to the Shelterwood model/family/team/culture.

Shelterwood Therapeutic School for Teens is a Christian therapeutic boarding school with residential therapy for troubled teens with teen counseling to provide behavior modification for teenagers struggling with anger, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), attention deficit, attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance abuse, depression, reactive attachment disorder (RAD), intermittent explosive disorder (IED), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, self-harm, or rebellion. Shelterwood is a therapeutic residential program and academy for troubled teenage boys and girls, located in Missouri.


THERAPEUTIC BOARDING SCHOOLS WITH
BEHAVIORAL THERAPY FOR STRUGGLING TEENS

Shelterwood provides troubled teens with teen counseling and adolescent therapy. Our therapeutic residential schools serve teens from the Midwest, Texas, California, Oregon and Washington on the West Coast and Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Nevada in the Southwest. In the southern and central states we serve teens in Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, Louisiana, and Mississippi, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Illinois and in the northern states Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Minnesota, and Idaho in the north, and along the east coast from Georgia to Florida, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Teens come to Shelterwood from the U.S. and Canada. It is one of few therapeutic programs for teens close to Kansas City, St. Louis, Tulsa, Wichita, Lincoln, Omaha, Chicago, Indianapolis and other central state cities like Dallas, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Minneapolis, and Detroit.
